Desperately Depraved Series Plans- Timing

I recently got a question about my series and how I planned/organized 20 different stories. I want to drop some information here but also, keep in mind that these books are novella size. I think it's easier for my mind to handle the enormity of a 20 book series simply because they're so short. If I tried to write them as full length novels... wouldn't happen any time soon.

The series is spread out over 20 years. Yeah, mhmm. Don't ask me why I did this to myself, the characters make the rules here, not me. >.< There are four books, four storylines, happening roughly every 3-4 years. This means that there will be a few stories overlapping in time.

As far as publishing order, the books will not be published in chronological order. Don't worry, once the time comes, I will post two reading order guides so that you can choose how you'd like to experience the series. But as far as the publishing order, the first book begins at the "beginning" of the timeline. The second book is a few years later, the next book is a few years later, down to the fifth book. Then the sixth book will start back at the beginning again and move forward in time to the tenth book. We will continue in this pattern so that there are four sets of five when we're all said and done. I have included a table below for my more visual learners. :)

Now you may be thinking "If book five is set at the end of the timeline, won't we get spoilers for the overall arc of the series?" Great question, but no. :) Looking at the table below, the last portion of the timeline spans over nine years so while you may see some characters getting restless or nervous, the final book and the overall arc's ending will not be spoiled for you.

This will be an interconnected series so, while some of my aliens and humans are very introverted, there will be plenty of books where you will see characters you've previously met. I'm hoping that this adds to the fun and magic of reading this silly, smutty little series.
